Player of the Game honors goes to Candice Adams who has ice running through her veins after making a game extending, buzzer beating 3-pointer that tied up the game at 51 after 40 minutes of action. She was 4 of 10 (40%) from both the floor and from behind the 3-point line while collecting 2 defensive rebounds. She also added a steal to her stat line on 40 minutes of action. Also in double digits for the Mean Green was Kelsey Criner (15).

Noteworthy: North Texas only scored 15 points in the first half and was held scoreless for an extended stretch between the end of the first quarter going well into the second quarter while shooting just 22.6% (7-31) from the floor in the first half. North Texas never led the game in regulation.

With this win the Mean Green Womens Basketball team has clinched a spot in the Conference USA Tournament beginning March 8th.

Up next for the Mean Green is a trip to Ruston, LA where North Texas will face off against Louisiana Tech on Thursday, February 23rd with a 6:30 PM tipoff. This will be the second meeting between the two teams this season where last time La Tech beat the Mean Green at home 72-65. North Texas is still in search of their first ever win against the Lady Bulldogs.
