North Texas struggled against the Western Kentucky Hill Toppers but there was a late push to bring the Mean Green within 8 points but the 19 points the Toppers scored in the 3rd Period were too much to overcome. North Texas is now 7-8 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
Acheil Tac is today’s Player of the Game, who led the team with 18 Rebounds (7 Offensive; 11 Defensive) making this her sixth double-double of the season and second in a row. On 37 minutes of play Tac scored 10 points shooting 4 of 9 (44.4%) from the floor and hit both of her Free Throw attempts.
Candice Adams led the team with 15 points. The only other player in double digits was Acheil Tac. Kelsey Criner came in with 9 points and 9 Rebounds but fouled out before she could possibly be the second Mean Green player with a double-double.
Teandra Jones did not play again today due to personal reasons. She also missed the game against Marshall on Thursday.
