FB North Texas and Texas Tech Agree to Home And Home Series for 2024, 2027

Multiple sources are reporting that North Texas and the Texas Tech Red Raiders have agreed to a home-and-home series. The Mean Green will play in Lubbock, TX on September 14th, 2024 with the Red Raiders will making a return trip on September 11th, 2027. Currently for 2024, North Texas have SMU scheduled to play at Apogee Stadium September 7th, 2024. This is currently the first Big 12 opponent North Texas has managed to get to play in Apogee Stadium since it opened in 2011. Army 38 North Texas 31 OT/Final North Texas finished its turnaround season 5-8 after a loss in a rematch bowl game on Tuesday, December 27th against the Army Black Knights. In the end misfires and mental mistakes, which seemed to haunt this team at key moments in some games late into the season, caught up to North Texas in overtime as they tried to convert on crucial 4th down to keep the series going for the Mean Green to tie Army in the first overtime period. Those misfires and mental mistakes in the game seemed to reflect how things have sometime gone for the Mean Green in this bounceback season. FB: North Texas Accepts Invite to Play Army in Heart of Dallas Bowl

North Texas has accepted a bowl invite to the Heart of Dallas Bowl in Dallas, TX to play the Army Black Knights on December 27th at 11:00 AM in the historic Cotton Bowl. This will be the Mean Green's second bowl in five years and sixth bowl since 2001. To buy tickets, go to MeanGreenBowl.com. It is vital that North Texas fans purchase their tickets through the school to make sure the program gets all the credit for all ticket sales. FB North Texas to Play at Missouri in 2021

No official announcement has been made by either school but FBSchedules.com is reporting that a single game is to be played at Faurot Field in Columbia, MO on October 16, 2021.  The game recently appeared on the future schedules for the Mizzou Tigers. The Future Football Schedule page has been updated to reflect the recent addition. FB North Texas and Memphis agree to a One-and-One Series Starting in 2022

Today the University of North Texas Athletic Department announced the 2016 Football schedule.  We already knew who North Texas was going to play, it was just a matter of when. Having the bye week in the middle of the schedule should be useful for the Mean Green as it will allow the team to rest up for the second half of their season.
