Offensive Line Coach Brad Davis leaves North Texas to coach for the same position at Florida. There have been no rumors of who his replacement will be at the moment.

Co-Defensive Coordinator Coach Mike Ekeler is headed to North Carolina for the same position. It is believed that Troy Reffett will take over to become the sole Defensive Coordinator role vacated by the departing Ekeler. There are some solid rumors that Jeff Koons from Cincinnati will take over to coach Linebackers for North Texas.

Previously, Tommy Perry was the Special Teams Coordinator and Running Backs Coach and was replaced with Marty Biagi from Notre Dame. It’s not known who will take over coaching the Running Backs at this point. One possibility is Seth Littrell takes over the Running Backs coaching since he was a fullback for the Oklahoma Sooners and has coached that position for several programs. I have Littrell down as the Tight Ends coach but with the current offensive scheme North Texas utilizes, the TE position is not widely used.
