Player of the Game honors goes to both J-Mychal Reese and Derail Green. Both players combined accounted for half of the team’s total points scored.
J-Mychal was 4 of 8 (50%) from the floor and 4 of 6 (66.7%) from the free throw giving him 12 total points line while picking up 4 assists on 25 minutes of play.
Derail Green also picked up 12 points shooting 4 of 7 (57.1%) from the floor with all shots taken from behind the 3-point line. He also added 3 Defensive rebounds and 2 blocks to his stat line on 23 minutes of play.
The Mean Green return home to take on the UAB Blazers on Thursday, January 5th in Denton at the Super Pit. North Texas will be looking to end a three game losing skid while picking up their first conference win of the 2016-17 season.
