The Mean Green advanced to 7-7 overall and 2-2 in CUSA play against the Thundering Herd of Marshall this evening. \u00a0North Texas ended an 8-game home win streak the Herd had going for the 2015-2016 season. \u00a0Marshall was a bit of a paper dragon coming into today’s game as they had not faced very many tough opponents and so North Texas was perhaps their first true test at home this season.<\/p>\n

The Player of the Game really goes to two players, both of whom scored 18 points each —\u00a0Candice Adams<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Terra Ellison<\/a>. \u00a0Candice finished the game shooting 6 of 12 (50%) from the floor, 1 of 4 (25%) from behind the arc, and 5 of 6 (83.3%) from the Free Throw lines with 2 Defensive Rebounds. \u00a0Terra shot 7 for 11 (63.6%) from the floor, 1 of 2 (50%) from behind the arc, and made all 3 of her Free Throw shots while bringing in 9 Rebounds (2 Offensive; 7 Defensive).<\/p>\n

The defensive leader for the Mean Green was Acheil Tac<\/a> with 11 Rebounds (1 Offensive; 10 Defensive). \u00a0Tac also managed another double-double, her fifth of the season.<\/p>\n
