North Texas (7-0) is off to its best start in 50 years where in 1968-69 the Mean Green started their season undefeated in seven wins. The matchup against the Maine Black Bears (0-5) took an overtime period to get it done but a win is a win. Still, it is quite alarming to see the Mean Green go cold in their shooting for more than nine minutes to finish out regulation. This team plays some solid defense though that will bail this team out of tough situations. The Mean Green also shot 83.3% from the charity stripe to keep extending their lead as the game clock wound down in the game.<\/p>\n
Zachary Simmons<\/a> set a new career best 24 points on 36 minutes of action. He was 10 of 14 (71.4%!) from the floor and four of five (80%) from the floor.
