North Texas fell in another close game in the closing seconds as late costly turnovers stopped the comeback bid against the then leading Old Dominion Monarchs. Free throw shooting was also problematic where the Mean Green shot a sub-par 58.6%, which is below the season average of 65.7%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Roosevelt Smart<\/a> again lead North Texas with 14 points where he was three of 12 (25%) from the floor where all three of his made shots were 3-pointers where he was three of 10 (30%). He was also five of six (83.3%) from the free throw line. Smart leads the team with a 89.3% at the charity stripe. Smart also collected two defensive rebounds on 33 minutes of action.<\/p>\n

Freshman Jordan Duffy<\/a>\u00a0came off the bench to add 11 points on three of five (60%) shooting from behind the arc while making two of his three (66.7%) free throws. He also add six total rebounds (one offensive, five defensive) to his stat sheet. Jordan started to show off his three-point shooting prowess. I think he is starting to find his stroke after having to sit out several games due to injury.<\/p>\n

SuperPit Woes for Both Teams<\/h4>\n

Neither the Men or Women have seen a victory in 2018 as of yet. In fact, both teams have not had a win at home. To make the home losses even more of a tough pill to swallow, both team have lost by no more than three points at home. To pile on even more, the games have been decided in the closing seconds of every game.<\/p>\n
